The dawn of a new day

I recently undertook my Reiki Level II training which I found to be a profound spiritual experience which was deeply calming. I love the tools that Reiki gives you to clear the energy in a room, heal yourself and others and give you a deeper spiritual understanding of life as well as awareness of lifeforce energy.

Since being attuned to Earth energy (ChoKuRei), Spirit energy (SeiHeiKi) and Distant Healing energy (HonShaZeShoNen), I feel as if my vibration has been raised and my senses heightened. Everything seems brighter somehow and as if the energy I emit is higher. I feel I am attracting more of what my heart and soul desire and attracting people I want to be in my life.

It has made me consider more about what I want out of life and how to meet my needs emotionally, spiritually, financially and energetically. I have been raising my daughter solo for the past five years, focussing primarily on making sure her needs are met, often neglecting my own needs. But like everyone, I have needs and desires that need meeting for me to feel content.

My first step so far has been both liberating and confidence-boosting. It was a way of me shedding the “Mum” skin I have been wearing for the past six years and stepping into the Huntress Archetype - a personification of the independent female spirit who pursues a life of her own choosing. It was an experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I have also begun to identify self development for my career, selecting courses to attend over the next few years in Yin Yoga, Hands-On Adjustments, as well as refreshing my Anatomy and Physiology.

I recently had my first ever sound healing experience using crystal bowls. It was in the most beautiful studio, surrounded by acres of grounds and the teacher was knowledgeable and made the experience really unique.

I have booked a trip to Poole and Devon in the summer holidays. I haven’t been to Poole before but have ear-marked it as a potential place for me and my daughter to live in the future as I have a feeling we will love it.

We are now in Gemini season where joy, connection, communication and sharing all flourish. The airy essence of Gemini clears any stagnant energy to bring in the new, allowing more laughter and excitement and learning what sparks our interest. Let lightness and joy into your heart as you move through this season.

Over the past few months, Reiki has aided my spiritual, emotional and personal journey in a way that I could never have imagined. I feel calmer, am sleeping better and have better control over my energy and the effect other energies around me have. I would recommend Reiki to anyone.
